i think if she could tell his feelings regarding that shifted/his guilt at all, that's ultimately what seals the respect end (as opposed to her strongly disliking roswell at this point in time?) i don't know how apparent that would have been to her though, but if she can tell at all or they've talked about it or something, she wouldn't hold it against him by now
